Media mogul Barry Diller wants former President Donald Trump to be “consigned to the dust of history” in November, and argues that Kamala Harris' presidency would be “very healthy” for America.
Diller, a tycoon who runs a number of media properties including the left-leaning Daily Beast, spoke at a recent business summit in West Hollywood, lightly addressing many of the Biden-Harris administration's failures, including record consumer price increases, an unprecedented surge in illegal immigration and a disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.
None of that seems to matter to Diller — what matters is getting rid of Trump.
“I want to consign Donald Trump to the dust of history. I don't want a contested election of any kind,” Diller said this week at the Financial Times Business of Entertainment Summit in West Hollywood, California. Report From the event via The Wrap.
He also described Trump as “absolutely a rotten person.”
Diller reportedly wants Harris to win in a landslide victory because it would symbolize a “rejection” of Trump. “I think that's a very healthy thing. [for America]” added Diller.
As Breitbart News reported, Diller recently declared his loyalty to Harris after being one of many big Hollywood donors who ousted Joe Biden.
“I wholeheartedly support Kamala Harris,” he said recently, asserting that she would beat Trump's “wrecked ass.”
In 2015, Diller promised to leave the country or “join the resistance” if Trump won the presidential election.
Like many Hollywood actors who vowed to leave the U.S. under the Trump administration, Diller is staying put.
