Trump addresses concerns he would seek retribution

Former President Trump said Wednesday he would have “every right” to go after his political opponents if he is re-elected in November.

Following his conviction last week in New York v. Trump on 34 counts of falsifying business records, President Trump spoke to Fox News host Sean Hannity about the state of the country and his own political career.

Hannity asked the former president what he would say to people who believe that if he were to return to the White House in 2025, he would seek retribution and use the justice system to go after his political opponents.

“Number one, they’re wrong,” Trump responded. “It has to stop, or we don’t have a country. Look, once this election is over, I’ll be well within my rights to go after them based on what they’ve done. The House Oversight and Accountability Committee has alleged that the Biden family and associates received millions of dollars from foreign entities, including countries like China, Ukraine and Romania, while Biden was vice president.
