Just weeks after the fatal mid-flight crash at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in January, following the beginning of 2025 and many other crashes in 2024, the Trump administration now has the Federal Aviation Administration ( FAA) began firing worker.

According to a statement from David Spero, chairman of the Union of Professional Aviation Safety Professionals, who is also a clear critic of the president, the company said it was the focus of late-night emails on Friday. He also blows up Trump for movement.

The FAA currently claims it is facing a controller shortage as a result of the firing. Federal authorities have expressed concern about overloaded and understaffed air traffic control systems, especially in the wake of many near misses at US airports. They listed mandatory retirement, long shifts, intense training, and non-competitive salaries as some of the possible causes of understaffing.
