Peter Marco Rubio, brought to help the USAID operations by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, said in a statement to two integrated federal district courts.
Litigation It was brought to the administration, given by aid organizations that Secretary of State Marco Rubio decided to cut about 92% of the agency's grants. It has been reported NPR.
According to a memo from the State Department
review According to Washington's free beacon, the 92% figure reflects 5,800 grants worth $5,800 in USAID, which Trump administration officials are expected to end. The auditors have reviewed more than 9,100 grants at the State Department. Of these, 4,100 (valued by $4.4 billion) are scheduled to be eliminated.
“It is not in national interest to continue this program.”
“USAID has valued 6,200 multi-year awards, remaining worth $58.2 billion,” said the State Department spokesman.
I said In a statement to Axios. “It has been identified that the $54 billion value, which remains worth $54 billion, has been excluded as part of America's first agenda.”
As for the awards that survived the cut, there are around 500 left in USAID and 2,700 left in the State Department.
Contractors learned awards and grant cancellations in memos from the USAID Acquisition and Support Office. A copy of the memo obtained by NPR stated that Rubio and Marrocco “deemed your award not in line with the agency's priorities and decided that it is not in national interest to continue this program.”

He further noted that “US policy is that foreign aid will not be supported in a way that is not entirely in line with the US President's foreign policy.”
The State Department then ordered a freeze on January 24th of new funds for virtually all US foreign aid.
Following a pair of lawsuits by aid groups, Judge Biden issued a restraining order and called for the funds to be released.
The U.S. Supreme Court temporarily blocked the restraining order of US District Judge Amir H. Ali on Wednesday evening.
For example, in addition to USAID winning $45 million on the Burma DEI Scholarship, $2 million on the Guatemala sex change activity, and $20 million on the Iraq “Sesame Street” show, USAID previously blew $45 million on the Day scholarship. It fires 1,600 positions on administrative leave and currently occupied agencies.
