On Friday, the US Customs and Border Patrol posted a notice that smartphones, computer monitors and various electronic components are one of the exempt products.
The notice also reveals that the exemption will apply to products entering the US or was removed from the warehouse as early as April 5th.th.
Trump previously informed Air Force 1 reporters that he could be excluded from his mutual tariffs.
“There may be some exceptions for obvious reasons, but I think 10% is on the floor,” Trump said.
This is because the president had imposed a minimum tariff of 145% on Chinese imports.
