Trump administration needs more planes to carry out deportations: report

We need more planes.

The Trump administration began promised deportations of illegal immigrants this week, but White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller said Friday that more planes are needed to speed up the process.

Miller told reporters that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is being hampered in its ability to expel illegal immigrants due to a lack of aircraft, and the administration is trying to secure enough planes from a half-dozen sources per Bloomberg. He said he was there.

The ice raid took place as early as Tuesday, and White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt released photos of people aboard the C-17 on Friday morning, saying “deportation flights have begun.” Announced. One of the photos was taken at Biggs Army Airfield, Fort Bliss, El Paso, Texas, USA, and was one of two flights that departed for Guatemala at 5pm on Thursday.

A Customs and Border Protection source told Fox News there were 80 people on the plane in the image. A third Mexico-bound flight never took off after Mexico refused to agree to land, a State Department official told Fox News.

But on Friday, Miller suggested the administration was considering expanding its operations, including aircraft procurement for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Department of Defense (DOD).

“You obviously have DHS aviation assets, you have DOD aviation assets, you have State Department aviation assets, you have commercial aviation assets, you have charter aviation assets. Because we have, we have all the assets that we can use to make a legal deportation,'' Miller said, per Bloomberg.

“Border Czar” Tom Homan told ABC News on Friday that the administration will use military aircraft every day to help perform surgeries.

About 2,000 illegal immigrants were deported to Mexico on Thursday, both on the ground and by air. Additionally, Mexico has detained approximately 5,000 migrants within its borders, Fox News reported.

When asked about the need for more aircraft, Levitt said the Trump administration is using both military and non-military aircraft to accomplish this mission.

Up to 250,000 children born to illegal immigrants in 2023: preliminary report

“In one week, the Trump administration has already facilitated a record number of illegal immigrant deportation flights, and the administration is using both military and non-military aircraft to accomplish this mission.” Leavitt said in a statement on Fox News Digital.

“Joe Biden has announced that in order to allow tens of millions of illegal criminals into the country and detain and deport as many as possible, Congress must implement a settlement that includes funding for border enforcement, detention centers, and deportation efforts.” We have to pass the bill.”

The administration has taken a number of actions to secure the border, including deploying troops, restarting wall construction and ending the Biden-era parole program.

The Department of Homeland Security has issued numerous memos since President Donald Trump took office, ordering parole reviews and expanding its ability to quickly deport recently arrived illegal immigrants from the United States. These memos are signed by Executive Director Benjamin Huffman.

Meanwhile, Miller also said the administration is using a variety of tools to remove authorized humanitarian paroles to enter the country where they would otherwise not be authorized.

“There's a digital footprint, there's a financial footprint, there's day-to-day law enforcement intelligence,” he said. “We have a variety of tools that we need to identify and remove those individuals.”

According to Bloomberg, former President Joe Biden refused to use military aircraft. His administration often used commercial aircraft to deport immigrants.
