Increased Review of Foreign Nationals in the U.S.
The Trump administration is intensifying its scrutiny of foreigners residing in the United States.
Recently, the State Department revealed intentions to examine all current visa holders—over 55 million individuals. This ongoing review aims to ascertain their eligibility to remain in the country, as noted by the department.
Audits will focus on potential disqualifying factors such as employment status, past criminal behavior, threats to public safety, and ties to terrorist activities. If an individual is deemed ineligible, their visa might be revoked, leading to possible deportation if they are currently in the U.S.
“We will evaluate all available information as part of this review, including data from law enforcement and immigration records,” stated the officials.
According to a department spokesperson, there are “more than double the visas,” particularly student visas, compared to the same time last year.
There are concerns being voiced regarding the number of foreigners in the U.S. A notable commentary suggested that having over 55 million people on visas indicates a lack of national sovereignty, with worries about millions of undocumented individuals as well.
Charlie Kirk, a notable figure in political commentary, mentioned that the demands of foreigners are often ignored, suggesting their needs are perpetually unmet.
In conjunction with these plans to review visa holders, the State Department announced an immediate halt on the issuance of worker visas specifically for commercial truck drivers. This decision follows alarming incidents involving foreign drivers, raising concerns about safety on U.S. roads.
In one tragic incident, an illegal alien truck driver was involved in a fatal crash in Florida after making an illegal U-turn, resulting in the deaths of three passengers in a minivan.
