President-elect Donald Trump's top adviser Alex Brucewicz is rapidly recovering after collapsing suddenly at a Young Republican party in New York on Sunday night and passing out in the hospital on Monday.
“I'm back. What a surreal experience. Maybe I took my impression of Joe Biden a little too far,” Brucewicz said. Posted in X on Monday night.
Mr. Brusewitz, 27, first fainted at a New York City Young Republicans celebration, slouched and rolled on the podium.
“I forgot my words,” he managed to say, slurring his words and collapsing mid-speech.
He was treated by paramedics and taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital for treatment, where he lost consciousness for the second time on Monday.
Others backstage at the celebration said Bruzewicz appeared to be in good spirits before his speech and remained in good spirits after he was carried off the stage.
“He's undergoing a medical check after briefly fainting on stage. All levels are normal. All he asked me was, 'Did you look cool?' did. He's going to be okay.'' Human Events Editor Jack Posobiec I wrote to X on Sunday night.
Brusewitz specifically singled out Tennessee Congressman Andy Ogles for staying by his side at the celebration until paramedics took him to the emergency room.
He was also quick to thank everyone who was thinking of him after he passed out.
“Finally, I would like to thank everyone who has prayed for me and sent me heartfelt, caring, and encouraging messages. I feel so blessed to have the support of such wonderful people. ” Brusewitz wrote in X.
Mr. Brusewitz is the CEO of X Strategies LLC, a conservative political consulting firm, and the author of several books on political conservatism.
