Trump’s Comments on Epstein and Maxwell Revealed
In 2006, President Donald Trump described infamous sex offender Jeffrey Epstein as “disgusting” and labeled his associate Ghislaine Maxwell as a “bad person,” as disclosed by a retired police officer who informed FBI agents in 2019. This information emerges from newly released court documents from the Justice Department.
According to a report by CNBC, Trump personally contacted then-Palm Beach Police Chief Michael Reiter to commend the police for their actions against Epstein. The FBI document indicates that Reiter mentioned, in October 2019, that Trump was “one of the first people to call” the police once Epstein’s investigation came to light.
This assertion contradicts various claims made by Trump’s critics who have circulated false narratives regarding his ties to Epstein and Maxwell.
During the phone call, Trump distanced himself from Epstein, saying he managed to distance himself “when he was around Epstein with teenagers,” as noted in the documents.
The identity of the writer has been redacted; however, the records clarify that it was the former chief of the Palm Beach Police Department involved in the investigation of Epstein. Reiter indicated that Trump had communicated with him after the Epstein investigation began.
Trump recounted that he expelled Epstein from his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, according to the summarized records.
Furthermore, he remarked that “people in New York knew Epstein was disgusting,” as highlighted in the FBI’s documentation.
The documents surfaced shortly after Maxwell’s legal team reached out to Trump, requesting a presidential pardon which would allow her to “honestly” disclose the information she possesses.
On the same day, Maxwell again declined to provide testimony before a House committee.
Trump has consistently denied any wrongdoing concerning his interactions with Epstein, asserting that his communication with him ended many years ago and that he has faced no accusations from Epstein’s victims.
