Jobbread Night at Yankee Stadium

Speculation is rising about a potential meeting between Mayor Eric Adams and President Trump at Yankee Stadium, rather than the White House. This comes amid discussions surrounding Hitzorner’s unlikely re-election bid.

According to a town hall insider, Adams aims to connect with Trump, who will be attending the Yankees-Tigers game on Thursday. This meeting might signify a bold move away from traditional campaign strategies, especially considering Trump’s ties to the Republican administration.

The job being discussed, which involves an ambassador role to Saudi Arabia, is rumored to be part of a strategy from the White House to entice Adams into consolidating support against the socialist frontrunner, Zoran Mamdani.

Unfortunately, Adams and Trump couldn’t synchronize their schedules for a meeting in Washington, D.C., earlier this week, according to sources.

There’s chatter that the MLB game could serve as an opportune moment for Adams to hear directly from Trump, who is visiting New York around the anniversary of the September 11 attacks. Still, nothing has been officially arranged.

White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt mentioned on Tuesday that they aren’t tracking this potential meeting but expects the New York Post would be the first to know if it happens.

Trump is set to watch the game from a box owned by the Steinbrenner family. This could be where discussions with Adams take place.

Sources indicated that Trump’s special envoy, Frank Caron, a long-time ally of Adams, along with consultant Steve Witkov, are facilitating communication.

Trump and his team seem to be strategizing on how to influence the political landscape to benefit Adams, particularly against the backdrop of the crowded Big Apple political scene.

Meanwhile, Sliwa has firmly dismissed any notion of withdrawing from the race. Adams, while maintaining his candidacy, might feel the pressure as indications suggest he isn’t in an unbeatable position.

Moreover, Adams appears hesitant about the job offer since it requires congressional confirmation, which brings some uncertainty.

Some believe that a role offered by Trump could disrupt Adams’ campaign, while others argue that it might be too late to shift the momentum towards Mamdani, especially with many voters expressing concerns over Cuomo’s past.

When queried about a potential job offer for Adams, Leavitt conveyed that Trump is primarily focused on advancing the mayor’s race.

“He doesn’t want communists to run New York City,” she said, referring to Mamdani. “As for emphasizing other candidates, I’ll leave that to the president and myself.”

Neither Adams’ campaign team nor City Hall have made any formal arrangements for the meeting on Thursday.

Law enforcement noted that Adams’ security is prepared for last-minute schedule changes whenever the president visits New York City, with contingency plans ready to implement.
