Trump and Melania have a heartfelt moment during a Mother’s Day celebration at the White House: ‘She’s nearly perfect’

WASHINGTON – On Thursday, President Trump displayed affection towards his wife Melania with a kiss reminiscent of European customs.

“I want to thank one of the best moms I know. Sometimes, she’s almost too good,” Trump expressed at an event in the East Room.

He remarked on their son Baron, saying, “He’s turning into a strong and nice young man. He’s a good boy and a good student. So, thank you for doing such a fantastic job. Amazing first lady.”

The president took a moment to acknowledge Melania’s contribution to the White House Rose Garden during his first term, mentioning plans for enhancements later this month, including adding pavement to the lawn.

“I just walked through the rose garden and it’s the most beautiful thing. I saw it yesterday,” he shared.

Trump continued, “She faced a lot of challenges, but she managed it beautifully. And the flowers were blooming. You really did the job.”

During her remarks, Melania urged other mothers to “prioritize your happiness,” emphasizing that personal well-being is crucial for raising children properly.

“By taking care of ourselves, we empower the next generation to thrive,” she added.

Melania co-hosted the event shortly after a New York Times article highlighted her limited appearances at the White House, indicating she had been present for less than two weeks during the first 108 days of her husband’s second term.

The President and First Lady often spend weekends at various Trump properties, including Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, and Melania’s residence at Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan.
