Halloween Celebration at the White House
President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump welcomed a large crowd on the South Lawn for the annual Halloween festivities at the White House.
During the event, held on Thursday, they distributed special candies to children from military families, law enforcement officers, as well as foster and adoptive parents and staff from the administration.
The celebration kicked off with a flyover by Air Force One, while the U.S. Air Force Strolling Strings entertained guests with a mix of seasonal music and current hits.
While waiting for their turn to collect treats from the Trumps, young trick-or-treaters engaged with several interactive stations set up by federal agencies.
- U.S. Postal Service: They offered toy mail trucks and a postcard creation station promoting Melania’s “BE BEST” initiative, aimed at youth well-being and online safety.
- U.S. Department of Agriculture: They showcased a giant pumpkin for photos and handed out mini pumpkins sourced from local farmers.
- U.S. Department of the Treasury: They distributed educational coloring books that highlighted various financial programs.
Other participants included the Center of Science and Industry, which provided STEAM science kits, along with the International Fresh Produce Association and the National Confectioners Association, who offered fresh apples and sweet snacks.
