Trump announces he took off the last bandage post-assassination attempt

Former President Donald Trump announced to the crowd on Friday night that he had “just removed” the final bandage he had placed on his ear since the assassination attempt nearly two weeks ago.

The “Faith Summit,” hosted by Turning Point Action in West Palm Beach, focused on reaching out to voters of faith. Prior to the former president, former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Dr. Ben Carson attended.

“And I want to thank every single believer in this room for your prayers and your incredible support. I really appreciate it,” Trump said.

“I know something was working. Something was working. So I’m so grateful to all of you. And it’s through the power of prayer and the grace of God almighty that I’m able to stand before you all tonight,” he added.

The former president continued, “As you can see, I am recovering well. In fact, I have just removed the last of the bandages from my ear.”

The crowd erupted in applause as the former president explained, pointing to his injured ear.I just took it off. I took it off for this group. I don’t know why I did it for this group, but that’s it. I think that’s it.”

Former White House physician Dr. Ronny Jackson released a letter early Friday morning providing an update on Donald Trump’s health following the July 13 assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.

“I want to reassure the American people and the world that President Trump is doing a very good job,” Jackson said.

“He is recovering rapidly from the gunshot wound to his right ear. I will continue to assist President Trump and his physicians in any way they deem appropriate and will provide updates as necessary and with President Trump’s permission,” Jackson concluded.

The FBI confirmed to Fox News Digital on Friday that “the bullet that struck former President Trump in the ear was either a whole or fragmented bullet fired from a deceased individual’s rifle.”

President Trump and his running mate, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, are scheduled to hold a campaign rally in St. Cloud, Minnesota on Saturday, July 27.
