Trump announces his attendance at the Alabama vs Georgia college football game at Bryant-Denny Stadium

President Donald Trump announced on Friday that he plans to be present at the highly anticipated college football game next week between No. 7 Alabama and No. 2 Georgia.

Trump shared this news during a campaign rally for the midterms held at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. He is expected to make an appearance at Bryant-Denny Stadium on October 10, when Alabama takes on Georgia.

Both teams are undefeated and are seen as contenders for the national championship. The kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET and the game will be broadcast nationally on ABC.

This will not be Trump’s first visit to Bryant-Denny Stadium; he previously attended the Alabama vs. LSU game in 2019. He also returned to address graduates at the university’s commencement ceremony in May 2025.

Last season, the SEC rivals faced off twice, with Alabama winning 24-21 in the regular season and Georgia claiming a decisive 28-7 victory in the SEC Championship Game. Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart has a mixed record against the Crimson Tide, now sitting at 2-7 after that championship win.

Trump was also present for the memorable meeting between the two teams in Tuscaloosa in 2024, where Alabama managed to hold off Georgia for a 41-34 victory after establishing a 28-point lead. He watched from a suite with several noteworthy Republican figures.

His upcoming trip for the Alabama game marks yet another appearance at a major sporting event during his second term. Just two weeks prior, he was at the Texas-Tennessee matchup, where Air Force One performed a dramatic low-altitude flyover before the game started.

Throughout the past year, Trump has made various notable appearances, including at the College Football Playoff National Championship in January, Game 3 of the NBA Finals in June, and the FIFA World Cup final in July, participating in the trophy ceremony there.

In 2025, he notably became the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl and has also made appearances at prestigious events such as the Daytona 500, the U.S. Open men’s final, the Ryder Cup, and multiple UFC events.
