“I am pleased to announce that Kevin Marino Cabrera will serve as the United States Ambassador to the Republic of Panama,” President Trump said in a post on Truth Social. It's far beyond my imagination.”

President Trump described Cabrera as a “fierce fighter for America First.”

“As a Miami-Dade County Commissioner and Vice Chairman of the International Trade Consortium, he has been instrumental in driving economic growth and fostering international partnerships. In 2020, Kevin did a great job as Florida State Director, and this year he has been instrumental in promoting economic growth and fostering international partnerships. As a member of the committee, he helped advance the MAGA agenda,” he continued.

“Few people understand Latin American politics like Kevin. He will do a great job representing our interests in Panama!” Trump added.

Cabrera immediately responded to Trump's announcement, saying, “Thank you, President Trump!” I am honored to appoint you as U.S. Ambassador to Panama. Let's get to work!

Additionally, President Trump recently criticized Panama's policy of charging the United States “exorbitant” fees to use the Panama Canal. He appears to have proposed retaking the canal, as the United States was responsible for its construction from 1903 to 1914 before Democratic President Jimmy Carter relinquished control.

Shortly after, Panama's President Jose Raul Mulino responded to Trump's comments, saying, “Every square meter of the Panama Canal belongs to Panama and always will.” Our sovereignty and independence are non-negotiable. ”

Furthermore, in a post on Truth Social on Christmas Day, President Trump accused China of “illegally operating the Panama Canal.”

“Merry Christmas to everyone, including the great Chinese soldiers who lovingly but illegally operated the Panama Canal (110 years ago, 38,000 people died while building it). We always make sure that the United States is putting billions of dollars into “repair” dollars. I have the money, but I'm not going to say anything about 'anything',” Trump wrote.

President Trump's comments came after the United States proposed annexing Canada and purchasing Greenland. However, it is unclear whether President Trump is intentionally exaggerating this as a possible aggressive negotiating tactic or whether he has a genuine interest in expanding U.S. territory.

“Also, To Canadian Governor Justin Trudeau, his national taxes are too high, but if Canada became one of our 51 countries.cent Nations, taxes will be cut by more than 60%, business will instantly double in size, and you will have the same military protection as any other country in the world. Similarly, to the people of Greenland who are needed by the United States for national security purposes and want a U.S. presence, and we will! ” Trump added in the same post.
