President-elect Trump on Tuesday announced several nominees to join his administration, including Jacob Helberg as undersecretary of state for economic growth, energy and the environment, and Kimberly Guilfoyle as ambassador to Greece.
Trump announced the nominees on his Truth Social platform.
“In this role, Jacob will be a champion of America First foreign policy,” he wrote. “He will guide the Department's policy on economic policy and promote U.S. economic security and growth and U.S. technological superiority abroad. Jacob is a successful technology company executive and He has the knowledge, expertise, and pragmatism to protect America's economic interests and is always focused on America's beginning! “

Guilfoyle was named ambassador to Greece. Guilfoyle, 55, who was in a relationship with Donald Trump Jr., appeared on stage with the Trump family on election night.
President Trump said, “Kimberly has been a close friend and ally for many years. Her extensive legal, media, and political experience, leadership, and keen intellect make her the best person to represent the United States and protect our interests abroad.'' I am qualified,” he said. .
In a post on X, Guilfoyle said she was “honored” to accept the nomination.

“President Trump's historic victory brings hope and optimism to the American people and our freedom-loving allies around the world,” she wrote. “The democratic values born in Greece helped shape the founding of America.”

Tom Barrack, a private equity real estate investor and founder of Colony Capital LLC, has been selected as ambassador to Turkey.

“He is a well-respected and experienced voice of reason to a wide range of thought leaders in politics and business,” President Trump wrote.
Attorney Mark Meador has been selected to serve on the Federal Trade Commission. Mr. Meador previously served as Deputy Chief Counsel for Antitrust and Competition Policy to Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah), the senior Republican on the Senate Judiciary Antitrust Subcommittee.
President Trump also announced that Ed Martin will be the next chief of staff at the Office of Management and Budget.

“I co-wrote 'The Conservative Case for Trump' with Phyllis Schlafly,” he said, referring to the late anti-feminist activist Phyllis Schlafly.

Congressman Dan Bishop (R-North Carolina) has been appointed deputy director for budget at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
In that role, Bishop would implement Trump's “policies of cost-cutting and deregulation” and root out the “weaponized deep state.”
