Trump announces picks for Army secretary, trade adviser, hostage envoy, NASA administrator

President-elect Trump on Wednesday announced further additions to the incoming administration, including the selection of a secretary of the Army, a trade adviser, a special hostage envoy, and a NASA administrator.

Daniel P. Driscoll, a retired military officer and venture capitalist from North Carolina, will serve as Secretary of the Army.

“I am pleased to nominate North Carolina native Daniel P. Driscoll as Secretary of the Army. As a former military member, investor, and political advisor, Dan brings a powerful combination of experience to the role of Secretary of the Army. He is a change-maker,” Trump posted on Truth Social.

He also selected Peter Navarro as trade advisor, Adam Boehler as special envoy for hostage issues, and Jared Isaacman as NASA administrator.
