President Donald Trump attended a joint Congressional meeting at the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday evening, announcing the acceptance of students who “have their biggest dream to attend the US military academy in West Point.”
“We're taking part in tonight with Jason Hartley, a young man who knows the weight of that obligation's call. Jason's father, grandfather and great grandfather were all wearing uniforms,” President Trump said in his speech.

“Jason tragically lost his father, who was also a deputy to the Los Angeles County Sheriff.
“I say Jason is a high school senior, a six-letter varsity athlete and a really good athlete. They're a great student with a 4.46,” Trump said.
“And Jason, that's a very big deal, get in, it's difficult to get in. But I'm happy you let me know that your application has been accepted. I'll be joining the Legion Cadets soon!” President Trump declared.
Chamber erupted in cheers after President Trump announced that Hartley had been approved for the US Military Academy West Point.
Hartley was later given a high five by 13-year-old DJ Daniel, who had “always dreamed of becoming a police officer,” and “diagnosed a brain tumor, and doctors gave him five months,” and “over six years ago.”
After a while, President Trump asked Secret Service Director Sean Curran to swear to be DJing as an honorary agent for the US Secret Service.
