Amidst significant Cabinet changes, President Donald Trump has managed to maintain his confidence in Vice President J.D. Vance, who is now tackling what are being labeled “unprecedented” issues in states governed by Democrats. In a bold declaration, Trump has called Vance a “fraud.”
On Thursday, Vance shared that his team had uncovered a $50 million hospice and healthcare fraud operation based in Los Angeles. The following morning, Trump took to Truth Social to refer to Vance in those terms.
Trump stated that Vance would be addressing fraud “everywhere,” but especially in areas controlled by Democrats. In his words, “Vice President J.D. Vance is now in charge of ‘fraud’ in the United States.” He humorously dubbed Vance the “Fraud Emperor,” and mentioned several states like California, Illinois, Minnesota, Maine, and New York where he believes Democratic politicians are exploiting taxpayer funds.
The president underscored that the issue of fraud in the U.S. is both “massive and pervasive,” hinting at its potential to create significant ramifications for the country.
Trump pointed out that Vance’s contributions, alongside many dedicated figures in the administration, will play a crucial role in determining the nation’s future. He emphasized that the numbers are staggering enough that, if Vance is successful, they could significantly impact the federal budget.
He also noted Vance’s proactive actions in California, stating, “The raids have already begun in LA,” and ended with a well-wish: “Good luck JD!” Vance had already been assigned to lead the Task Force to Combat Fraud, a comprehensive measure targeting fraud in federal welfare systems.
But calling Vance the “Fraud Emperor” reveals just how much trust Trump places in him and the task ahead.
In a related development, sources indicated that Attorney General Pam Bondi has been dismissed, with a Cabinet replacement forthcoming.
Weeks earlier, Trump had also let go of Kristi Noem, the former Homeland Security Secretary. There are whispers that he might be unhappy with other senior Cabinet members, although he hasn’t made any public statements to that effect.
Fox News Digital has reached out to both the White House and Vance’s office for additional comments.
