Trump Attends Club World Cup Final in New Jersey

Former President Donald Trump made an appearance at the Club World Cup final on Sunday at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. This event comes a year after he survived an assassination attempt during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

Trump was present for the highly anticipated matchup between Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain. He was seen in a box seat, enjoying the game alongside his wife, Melania Trump, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, and his wife, Lina Al Ashkar.

Since taking office, Trump has been actively working on building relationships with FIFA. He set up the White House Task Force for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted in North America. Andrew Giuliani has been appointed as the executive director for this task force.

The upcoming World Cup is expected to attract nearly half a million visitors and could generate significant economic benefits, estimated at around $480 million, impacting tourism, hospitality, and retail sectors.
