Donald Trump’s lawyer Todd Blanche said he wasn’t surprised that a jury took less than 10 hours to find a former president guilty of a felony for the first time in history.

In an interview Friday, Blanche said the verdict was what his defense team had expected and that a swift acquittal through an appeal had always been his goal.
Blanche blames the jury’s guilty verdict on Judge Marchan, who she said did not allow much of the defense’s evidence, including some witnesses’ tax records, to be used during the trial.
He also said disgruntled former Trump personal lawyer Michael Cohen should not be relied upon to convict anyone.
Blanche said she wasn’t surprised by the verdict, but was surprised by the way Trump handled it on the spot.
“I’m still blown away by how positively he responded,” he said. “President Trump has a public persona. He was stronger than anyone else around. I mean, when we came out of the courtroom, everybody saw him huddled together. It wasn’t that we told him what to do, it was that he gave us confidence. It was really because he knew what he had to do and what he had to say.”
Branche said he was confident an appeal would be possible when Trump is sentenced on July 11.Number.
