Former President Trump's lawyer Alina Haba said late Thursday that she has confidence in the Supreme Court and believes Justice Brett Kavanaugh will “strengthen” Trump's voting cases in Maine and Colorado.
“I think they should be sentenced by the Supreme Court. I believe them,” Haba told Sean Hannity on Fox News. “If it's people that the president fought for, people who struggled to get him into that position, people like Kavanaugh, he's going to step up.”
Haba added that Kavanaugh and the other justices will step up “not because they support Trump, but because they support law and support fairness.”
President Trump nominated Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court in 2018, which was seen as a major victory for Republicans. His controversial nomination was marked by allegations of sexual misconduct.

The lawyer also said Trump has not been charged or convicted of the riot.
The former president also sought to use the violence and chaos at the Capitol to overturn the 2020 election and delay the certification of election results on January 6, 2021, a lawsuit brought by Special Counsel Jack Smith. A trial in the case is scheduled for early March. .
