In his speech Tuesday night, President Trump sued Democrats who would never praise their speech to Congress. He also denounced his predecessor, Joe Biden, for two Justice Department criminal prosecutions against him.
“This was my fifth speech to Congress, and once again I saw the Democrats in front of me and realized that I could never say anything to make them happy, smile or praise them,” he said.
“I can announce the cure for the most devastating illness, the disease that wipes out the whole country, or the answer to the biggest economy in history, or the halt of crime to the lowest ever recorded levels.
“They don't do that… I've been here five times. It's so sad, and it shouldn't be like this.”
Trump then tore Biden to two DOJ prosecutions against him. He accused him of illegally retaining national security documents and attempting to reverse the 2020 election results.
“How do you get it?” he asked, hoping for applause from Republican lawmakers.
