Trump calls for the arrest of Democratic 'traitors' who asked the military to disobey 'illegal orders'

This week, President Trump criticized six Democratic Congress members for sharing a video on social media that encourages military personnel to refuse what he termed “unlawful orders” from the government.

On Truth Social, he stated, “This is called sedition at the highest level.” He added, “Every traitor to our country must be arrested and brought to justice. We can’t ignore their words – we no longer have a country!!! Setting an example is vital.”

The short clip, named “Don’t Give Up The Ship,” showcased Michigan State Senator Elissa Slotkin, along with Arizona Senator Mark Kelly, Pennsylvania Representatives Chris Deluzio and Chrissy Houlahan, New Hampshire Representative Maggie Goodlander, and Colorado Representative Jason Crow. Notably, all six have military or national security experience.

In the video, they expressed concern, stating, “We understand the immense pressure you’re under right now. Americans trust our military, and that trust is in jeopardy. This administration is creating division between military personnel and civilians. Remember your oath to uphold and defend the Constitution.”

They emphasized, “Today, threats to our Constitution come not just from outside, but from within. Our laws are straightforward. Unlawful orders can and must be rejected. No one should follow an order that breaches the law or the Constitution.”
