In a press release on Friday, the Republican campaign announced two new initiatives to encourage voter participation of faith: the “Faith Coalition” and the “Faith and Vote” program.

The efforts are aimed at encouraging voter registration and highlighting President Donald Trump’s commitment to his faith, according to the announcement.

This is the same day that President Trump spoke at the Turning Point Action Believers Summit and said that the left has become hostile to religious freedom.

The press release quoted Trump as saying, “In America, we celebrate faith, cherish religion, lift our voices in prayer and focus our eyes on the glory of God.”
