Trump campaign hilariously mocks Biden’s precarious candidacy in statement on VP debate

In a statement about the vice presidential debate, the Trump campaign downplayed the infighting within the Democratic Party over Joe Biden’s candidacy for President.

Members of the Biden-Harris campaign released a statement saying they had accepted an invitation to appear in the vice presidential debate hosted by CBS. They called on the Trump-Vance campaign to accept the challenge, but the Republican responded with a rather ludicrous statement.

“It’s an act of vandalism of epic proportions.”

“We can’t finalize a date before the convention because we don’t know who the Democratic vice presidential nominee will be,” said Brian Hughes, a senior adviser to the Trump campaign.

“Doing so would be unfair to Gavin Newsom, J.B. Pritzker, Gretchen Whitmer or whoever Kamala Harris chooses as her running mate,” he added.

The humorous quip about Biden’s growing likelihood of dropping out of the campaign was well received by many on social media.

“OK not only did I laugh out loud, but I told my husband who doesn’t find most things funny and he laughed out loud too,” one user said. Reply On X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

“I have to admit, this is an act of vandalism on a grand scale.” Said Another user.

“A brilliant play by the Trump campaign.” read Another response.

More than a dozen Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives had previously called on Biden to resign, with the party’s most powerful leader joining the call on Wednesday.

“President Trump’s reelection would undermine the foundations of our democracy, and I have serious concerns about whether the president can defeat Donald Trump in November,” said Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif.
