Greenville, South Carolina – Donald Trump’s campaign expects the former president to confirm the 2024 Republican presidential nomination by the middle of next month.
And noting that the latest polls from Saturday’s South Carolina Republican primary show the former president with a wide double-digit lead over Nikki Haley, the Trump campaign said in a memo Tuesday that Haley’s She claimed her bid for the White House would end “properly in her home state.”
But Haley, a former two-term South Carolina governor who later served as U.N. ambassador in the Trump administration, doesn’t seem like a candidate ready to drop out of the race.

“I promise you this. I’m in this fight. I’ll take care of the bruises. I’ll take care of the cuts,” she said Monday night at a rally in this upstate South Carolina city. About 800 participants will gather for next month’s Super Tuesday. Trump’s campaign memo was released hours before he returned to South Carolina on Tuesday and headlined a Fox News town hall in Greenville hosted by Laura Ingraham. The pre-recorded, hour-long event will focus on both domestic issues and foreign conflicts and will air at 7pm ET.
And Haley is scheduled to deliver what her campaign describes as a “state of the race” speech in Greenville earlier in the day.
