Former President Donald Trump raised more than $160 million last month, built almost entirely from small donations, his campaign announced Wednesday.

The September fundraising total will leave the 78-year-old president with $283 million in cash with just over a month left until Election Day.

“President Trump is committed to mobilizing millions of ordinary Americans to join the America First movement and fuel his campaign with their hard-earned dollars,” Brian Hughes, a senior adviser to the Trump campaign, said in a statement. It continues to inspire me.”

Trump's team said the September total “exceeded internal standards.”

“Thanks to these supporters, we were able to put much-needed funds in the bank for the final weeks of the campaign,” Hughes added. “Supporters and donors across the country continue to fuel our momentum as we enter the home stretch of victory.”

Trump's September haul was up from the $130 million his campaign and its power committee raised in August.

As campaigning intensifies in the final weeks of the 2024 campaign, Republican candidates' war chests are slightly lower than the reported $295 million as of the end of August.
