President Donald Trump issued a caution to “extreme left” Democrats this week, especially in light of the attack on a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Dallas, Texas.
“Radical left rhetoric is causing issues,” he remarked to reporters in the Oval Office while addressing Rep. Jasmine Crockett from Texas. He went on to say, “I mean, just look at Crockett. Some of these folks have very low IQs.”
His remarks followed the recent assassination of Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, which has stirred significant concern.
Trump and Crockett have clashed before. Back in July 2025, she referred to him as “Wannabe Hitler,” defending her position later on a radio show by claiming that it was Trump who has encouraged a climate of violence in politics.
On a different note, Trump expressed that “bad things happen when they play these games,” although he didn’t clarify what exactly he meant by that. He warned that “the right is much harsher than the left” and emphasized his wish to avoid energizing violence from either political side.
Wednesday’s shooting incident involved gunfire directed at the ICE facility from a rooftop, resulting in one detainee’s death and injuries to two others in a transport van. The shooter, identified as 29-year-old Joshua Yarn, reportedly aimed his weapon toward one of the victims, according to authorities.
FBI Director Kash Patel stated that Yarn seemed to seek “real horror” against ICE, having searched for videos of Kirk’s assassination and used an app designed to track ICE agents.
Patel also shared photos of shell casings found at the scene, one of which had “anti-ICE” marked on it, allegedly located near the shooter.
In a similar vein, the ammunition thought to have been used by Tyler Robinson, who is accused of killing Kirk, bore an anti-fascist inscription, according to officials. Prosecutors noted that Robinson’s rifles were discovered loaded with three untouched rounds, each bearing similar markings.
