Former President Trump celebrated a “great day of victory” Tuesday after winning enough delegates in that day’s primaries to secure the Republican presidential nomination.
President Trump: “On a really great day of victory, your favorite president is talking to you.” Said in a video his camp posted on X (formerly known as Twitter). “A week ago, we had what we call Super Tuesday, and it was just super, because we won by numbers that no one had ever seen before, records in virtually every state.”
“And tonight was no different, but this time it made us feel great,” he continued. “The Republican National Committee has just declared us the official candidates.”
The former president won the Republican primary in Washington state on Wednesday, securing the party’s nomination. President Biden confirmed the Democratic Party’s nomination on the same day, paving the way for a rematch in the 2020 election.
After the campaign was called, Trump mentioned in a post on Truth Social The top of the November ticket read, “It is an honor to represent the Republican Party.”
“Our party is united and strong, knowing full well that we are up against the worst, most incompetent, corrupt and destructive president in American history,” the former president wrote.
“But fear not. We will not fail. We will take back what was once great, put America first, and make America great again – greater than ever.” ” he added. “November 5th will be remembered as the most important day in our nation’s history! God Bless America.”
Biden also celebrated his victory, saying he ran for president in 2020 “because I believed this was a fight for the soul of this country.”
“Thanks to the American people, we were able to win that battle, and now a broad coalition of voters representing the rich diversity of the Democratic Party across the country is supporting our party and our I am honored that you have once again placed your trust in me to lead our country, at a time when the threat from President Trump is greater than ever,” Biden continued.
The incumbent also attacked Trump, saying he is “waging a campaign of resentment, revenge, and retaliation that threatens the very ideals of America” and that “freedom and democracy are at risk.” Ta.
“Voters now have to make a choice about the future of this country,” Biden said.
“Are we going to stand up and defend our democracy, or are we going to let others destroy it?” Do you want to let it be taken away?” the President asked. “Can we finally make the rich pay their fair share of taxes, or will we allow corporate greed to flourish on the backs of the middle class?”
