Trump Claims He 'Performed Well' in Recent Physical Exam

Trump Declares Medical Checkup a Success

President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that he “checked out perfectly” during his recent medical examination at Walter Reed Military Medical Center.

While driving home, he shared this update on Truth Social in the early afternoon.

“I just completed a six-month medical checkup at Walter Reed Military Medical Center. Everything checked out perfectly. Thank you to the wonderful doctors and staff! I will be returning to the White House,” he posted.

The president spent about three and a half hours at Walter Reed, arriving shortly before 9 a.m. and leaving just before 12:30 p.m. Although reporters were not allowed inside, the White House press guide indicated that Trump was set to meet with military personnel and staff prior to the exam.

His last medical exam took place in October. At that time, Sean Barbavera, a US Navy captain and the president’s physician, reported Trump was in “overall very good health” and noted that his heart appeared to be 14 years younger than his actual age.

President Trump continues to show good overall health. His heart age, gauged through ECG, was found to be around 14 years younger than his chronological age. He keeps up a rigorous daily routine without limitations.

During the October visit, Trump underwent an MRI and various lab tests. Barbavera mentioned that these assessments were performed with the guidance of top academic and medical experts to ensure optimal cardiovascular health.

In December, following a request from Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minnesota) for transparency regarding the MRI results, the White House issued a statement. According to reports, Barbavera said Trump’s cardiovascular health remains “excellent.”

Comprehensive physical exams for President Trump included advanced imaging tests due to his age, which could benefit from such evaluations to detect issues early and confirm overall health. The cardiovascular imaging tests were normal, indicating no sign of narrowed arteries or other issues. Overall, his cardiovascular system appears to be very healthy, with abdominal scans showing all major organs functioning well within normal limits.

Trump is expected to have another health check in April 2025.
