Trump claims ‘left extremists’ will not be content with Epstein grand jury testimony

Trump says 'left lunatics' won't be satisfied with Epstein grand jury testimony

Former President Trump announced on Saturday that he would work to make public significant court testimonies related to disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. However, he expressed skepticism that this would satisfy critics he described as “troublemakers and radical left madman.”

“I’ve asked the Justice Department to release all important court testimonies regarding Epstein, pending court approval. But I doubt it will be enough for the troublemakers and the radical left, even if the court fully approves it,” he shared online. “It’s always more, more, more. maga!”

The Department of Justice (DOJ) filed two similar requests in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Friday, seeking to keep the transcript from the Epstein Grand Jury sealed.

Typically, judges do not publish confidential information, although it is possible. The DOJ indicated it would fight the claims made by Associate Attorney General Todd Blanche regarding the identification of potential victims and other personal data.

This move came soon after Trump instructed Attorney General Pam Bondy to release “relevant court testimony” related to the case.

“Given the intense media coverage surrounding Jeffrey Epstein, I asked Attorney General Bondy to compile all relevant court testimony, subject to court approval,” he noted online Thursday. “This scheme was pushed by the Democrats, and it should be over now.”

Pressure is mounting from Trump’s MAGA base, especially following a recent, unnamed memo from the FBI and DOJ that suggested Epstein died by suicide in 2019 and did not maintain a so-called “client list.”

These findings raised concerns for some, particularly in light of Bondy’s earlier commitments to transparency in this matter.

The latest attempt to seal testimony followed a report by the Wall Street Journal about a suspicious letter Trump reportedly sent to Epstein for his 50th birthday. The unverified letter was claimed to include illustrations and a message saying, “Happy birthday – and maybe it’s a great daily secret.”

Trump has denied sending this letter, and on Friday he filed a defamation lawsuit against the newspaper in federal court.

“The defendant fabricated this story to harm the character and integrity of President Trump, portraying him in a false light,” his legal team stated.

Recently, Trump criticized fellow Republicans for lingering on this issue, urging them to shift their focus. He also questioned why Democrats didn’t address these files when they had control over the Senate and the White House.

“Because they had nothing!!!” he asserted on Friday.
