Trump compares image of Butler assassination attempt to Iwo Jima photo

Former President Trump compared the image of himself surviving an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, to the image of American troops raising the flag on Iwo Jima during World War II.

President Trump joined Podcast “Six Feet Under” I was asked to create a portrait from a photograph with former professional wrestler Mark Calaway.

Trump's supporters widely shared a photo of the former president, bleeding from his ears, defiantly pumping his fist and shouting “fight, fight, fight” after a gunman opened fire at a rally in July. . He said it was “awesome” to be alive.

“We shouldn't live for symbols,” Trump said. “But they say it's the biggest…I think Iwo Jima is right there. They took a lot of bullets to plant the flag.”

Caraway agreed with the former president.

President Trump said the photo of himself with his fist raised after the shooting was “unlike anything I've ever seen before.” He said people send him paintings, some “really good” and some not so much.

“The mugshot had it, but to a lesser extent,” he joked about surrendering to Georgia authorities.
