Trump’s Tense Exchange with CBS Reporter
President Donald Trump had a heated moment with CBS reporter Jiang Weijia while aboard Air Force One on Sunday. The exchange occurred after Weijia asked about which part of her body had been scanned for an MRI.
“I have no idea. It was just an MRI scan. What part of the body was it in? I took a cognitive function test and passed, so it wasn’t my brain,” Trump replied, gesturing to the reporters around him. He added, “I got a perfect score, but you can’t.”
After concluding his conversation with the press, Trump pointed to another reporter, saying, “You too.”
CBS has not yet commented on the incident.
Upcoming Release of MRI Results
During a rally, Trump mentioned that he would start releasing the MRI results in October. “If they want to release it, I don’t mind if they want to release it,” he declared, adding, “It’s perfect.”
In a memo, White House physician Sean Barbavera indicated that Trump underwent advanced imaging tests as part of a scheduled exam at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Barbavera noted that this was part of the president’s ongoing health plan, which also involves regular laboratory tests and preventive assessments.
Trump’s Health Statements
The physician stated Trump is in “excellent overall health” following the visit. The memo detailed that “comprehensive laboratory tests performed in conjunction with the visit were exceptional,” highlighting the stability of various health metrics.
Recently, Trump has faced criticism over his interactions with female reporters, with accusations of bullying and misogyny. However, the White House has pushed back against these claims, advocating for his transparency.
When asked about the scrutiny surrounding Rahmanullah Rakanwar, the Afghan national suspected in the shooting of two National Guardsmen in Washington, D.C., Trump had another tense exchange. He was pressed by CBS News correspondent Nancy Cordes regarding the Biden administration’s handling of Afghan arrivals in the U.S.
Trump’s response included, “Because they let him in. Are you stupid? Are you stupid?” He went on to assert that Rakanwar arrived with many others who shouldn’t have been allowed entry, expressing frustration over the questioning.
