Trump criticizes Nicolle Wallace as a 'loser' with 'low ratings' and suggests she will be let go.

Former President Donald Trump unleashed a strong criticism of MSNBC anchor Nicole Wallace, labeling her a “loser” and predicting her imminent departure from the network. His anger was sparked by Wallace’s commentary regarding Trump’s summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which she had criticized heavily.

In a post on his social media platform, Trump expressed his disdain for Wallace, who has previously served as a communications director in the Bush administration, claiming she was poorly rated and rendered irrelevant. “MSNBC is dead!” Trump stated emphatically.

His outburst came after a social media user shared a humorous photo of Wallace in a clown nose. Wallace’s pointed remarks about Trump’s handling of the meeting with Putin had, apparently, struck a nerve.

During her Friday show, “Deadline: White House,” Wallace condemned Trump for appearing alongside Putin, whom she described as someone responsible for significant suffering and tragedy in Ukraine. “It’s vicious,” she remarked, expressing concern over Trump’s disregard for U.S. allies.

Critics have noted that Trump’s recent summit with Putin failed to yield substantial progress in the war in Ukraine, with many suggesting he came off as overly submissive. The White House, on the other hand, characterized the meeting as a preliminary step towards peace talks, downplaying negative narratives around it.

This altercation adds to an ongoing feud between Trump and various MSNBC media figures. Previously, Trump had called Wallace a “third-rate lap dog” and mocked her departure from ABC’s talk show circuit in 2015. Despite Trump’s claims of her “bad ratings,” her show continues to attract over a million viewers, often outperforming CNN’s competitors, although still trailing behind Fox News’s prime-time ratings.

Wallace remains only one of Trump’s many targets on MSNBC, where he has also confronted hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, and has even called for the firing of Lawrence O’Donnell.

This ongoing narrative highlights the contentious relationship between Trump and media personalities he accuses of unfairly criticizing him.
