Trump Critiques Charlamagne’s Remarks on Epstein
President Donald Trump has fiercely criticized left-wing radio personality and podcaster Charlamagne tha God, labeling him a “racist three bag” over his comments regarding the Jeffrey Epstein situation.
This reaction came via a post on Trump’s social media platform, where he aimed to counter Charlamagne’s assertion that the Epstein controversy might empower traditional Republicans to reclaim control from Trump’s faction.
In an interview with Lara Trump, Charlamagne remarked, “I think traditional conservatives will regain the Republican Party.” He suggested that there is a “political coup” occurring within the Republican Party that many may not be noticing, with Epstein’s case serving as a potential tactic for these conservatives to regain their influence.
He added, “They know this is the issue that has energized the base.” According to him, the traditional Republicans recognize that addressing the Epstein matter could help them reassert authority without alienating the MAGA supporters.
However, polling does not seem to back Charlamagne’s claims, as Epstein’s issue appears to have minimal effect on Trump’s standing among his core supporters. Recent CBS News-YouGov polls indicated that only 11% of Republican voters considered Epstein’s issue significantly impactful in their assessment of Trump.
It’s worth noting that political dynamics are constantly evolving, and perceptions within the vocal fringes of the Republican coalition may shift. Regardless, Trump did not hold back in refuting Charlamagne’s claims.
Trump mocked Charlamagne as a “low IQ individual” and expressed that the podcaster is unaware of his accomplishments, stating, “Let us end five wars between the Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, including 31 years of bloodshed.”
He further criticized President Joe Biden, calling him “stupid and corrupt” and asserting he has performed poorly in office. Trump questioned whether Charlamagne would support Biden or Vice President Kamala Harris, reminiscing that “our country died a year ago.” He concluded with a passionate declaration about America currently being the “hottest” nation worldwide, saying, “MAGA!”
