Take a look at what you’ve let him do.
On Friday, President Trump took aim at two well-known figures from New Jersey: Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen.
Trump made his comments via Truth Social as he returned to Washington from a four-day trip across the Middle East. He mentioned, “I said, ‘I hate Taylor Swift,’ and she replied, ‘It’s not hot anymore,’ so did everyone notice that?”
Shortly after, he referred to Springsteen as “very overrated” and a “rock-dilde,” suggesting that he was abroad to speak poorly about the U.S. president.
Trump expressed his disdain, stating, “I never liked him, his music, or his left-leaning politics. And frankly, he isn’t particularly talented.”
In a separate comment, he made an odd remark about Springsteen’s appearance, suggesting that his skin is aging poorly and implying that he should keep quiet until he returns home.
Springsteen, originally from Long Branch and raised in Freehold, has criticized the Trump administration, labeling it as “corrupted, incompetent, and uncomfortable” while he was in England kicking off the European leg of his “Land of Hopes and Dreams” tour.
As for Swift, she had previously angered Trump last summer when she endorsed then-President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, which he evidently hasn’t forgotten.
