Trump Defends U.S. Munitions Stockpile, Denies Shortage Claims

President Donald Trump criticized media reports suggesting the United States is running low on munitions, claiming the country has “virtually unlimited” supplies. In a post on Truth Social, Trump disputed allegations of an ammunition shortage as the ongoing conflict with Iran enters its seventh month.

“The people and Media Outlets that keep harping on the fact that we have no ammunition (And they are 100% wrong!), are actually treasonous. They do it because they would rather see the United States LOSE a War that we’re easily WINNING, than see me WIN!” Trump wrote.

In another post, he asserted that the U.S. is amassing significant munitions, with more being manufactured continuously.

“For the treasonous SCUM that refuses to accurately report on our Military Operation in Iran, we have virtually unlimited amounts of Mid to High Grade Ammunition, far more than we could ever use for this, or for any other War (which is highly unlikely!), that could improbably take place,” Trump stated. “In addition, we are producing Munitions at levels never seen before. We are stockpiling and preparing for any contingency that could happen,” he continued.

Trump also pointed fingers at the previous administration for depleting the munitions stockpile, claiming that, under his leadership, the U.S. will require payment for munitions sales, past and future.

“We are taking them for ourselves, the U.S.A., rather than selling them to others, but the sales to Allies will soon again, begin. Also, please let it be known, that the Biden Administration gave far more Munitions away to Ukraine, at no cost to them, whatsoever, than we have used in Iran,” Trump stated. “Hundreds of Billions of Dollars was given to Ukraine and NATO, free of charge, that Europe would have paid for–If they were only asked, but we will be asking for that money, though somewhat belatedly!” he added.

Media reports from last month indicated that the U.S. was experiencing a munitions shortage after depleting a substantial portion of its stockpiles during military operations against Iran, a claim the administration strongly refuted.

Since the U.S. and Israel initiated their military operations against Iran, American forces have reportedly utilized thousands of offensive and interceptor missiles in the ongoing conflict.

Recently, the Pentagon has taken steps to enhance its military capabilities, such as a groundbreaking $22.9 billion contract with Raytheon aimed at rapidly producing precision long-range Tomahawk missiles.
