Trump demands imprisonment or deportation of 'Scammer' Rep. Omar to Somalia

Trump’s Strong Words for Ilhan Omar

President Trump has taken a strong stance against Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), suggesting that the Somali immigrant should either be locked up or deported. He made a connection between her and a significant welfare fraud issue in Minnesota.

In a recent post on his social media platform, Trump stated, “Minnesota’s theft and fraud is far higher than originally estimated at $19 billion.” He emphasized his thoughts early Saturday.

Trump criticized the Biden administration for allegedly ignoring the fraud, asserting that “Scammer” Ilhan Omar and her “absolutely horrible Somali friends” ought to face jail time or be sent back to Somalia. This comment was in reference to a substantial welfare fraud scandal in the state.

This scandal, which began to unfold in 2021, revolves around over $250 million in fraudulent activities related to the “Feeding the Future” program and has implicated more than 75 individuals, many of whom are of Somali descent.

It’s important to note that Mr. Omar was not connected to any of the fraud. Trump went on to criticize Minnesota’s Governor, Tim Walz, suggesting he might be either deeply corrupt or incredibly incompetent.

“Even people with very low IQs, and there are many of them, should have known what was going on in Minnesota,” he added.

This backlash against Omar comes on the heels of a rather bizarre incident where a voter sprayed her with apple cider vinegar while she was advocating for the impeachment of DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.

An individual named Anthony Kazmierczak has been charged with third-degree assault for allegedly spraying the liquid on Omar. Trump, however, insinuated that this incident might have been staged, saying, “She probably got herself sprayed knowingly.”

After the event, Omar reassured her followers on X, stating, “I’m fine. I’m a survivor, and this little instigator won’t threaten my job.”

Recently, news surfaced that the Justice Department and Congress are looking into Omar’s increasing net worth. Trump has previously remarked that Omar should be jailed or deported, accusing her of harboring disdain for the U.S.

“She can make Somalia great again!” he quipped.
