Trump Department of Labor Appoints Julia Pollak as Chief Economist

US Department of Labor on Monday announcement Julia Pollack, a Harvard graduate and former Navy reserve, has been appointed Chief Economist.

As Chief Economist, Pollack will lead the sector's economic research and provide analysis on labor-related policies and programs, the department said.

Pollak graduated from Harvard University and holds a Master's degree in Philosophy in Policy Analysis from Pardee Rand Graduate School. She served as a Navy Reserve from 2011 to 2022.

She is married to Joel Pollack, a Harvard graduate and a senior editor at Breitbart News, an author and host of radio shows that has covered the Trump administration extensively. He recently provided ground compensation for the 2023 Israel-Hamas War. The two have four children.
