Trump discloses he underwent an MRI during his visit to Walter Reed this month, stating, 'It was perfect.'

Trump Discusses MRI Results During Checkup

WASHINGTON – On Monday, President Trump shared with reporters that he had an MRI scan during a recent medical checkup at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, claiming that the results were “perfect.”

“I did it. I had an MRI scan. It was perfect,” he stated while aboard Air Force One en route to Tokyo.

He further mentioned, “I gave them all the results. The MRI scan, the machine, everything was perfect,” and encouraged reporters to “ask the doctor” for more information about the test.

According to the White House, the president had his “annual medical examination” on April 11. Following that, on October 10, after visiting injured service members, he returned to Walter Reed for what he described as an “annual routine checkup.”

This second visit raised questions, as presidents usually have a thorough exam just once a year.

“I think they gave you a very conclusive report. No one has ever given you a report like the one I gave you,” Trump added. He assured that if the news was not good, he would let everyone know. “But the doctors have given some of the best reports at this age,” he emphasized.

An MRI can help identify a range of medical issues, from tumors to muscle strains and bone fractures.

Earlier this summer, it was reported that Trump had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, which causes swelling in the ankles and feet.

It’s noteworthy that Trump is the oldest individual ever elected president, and the second-oldest commander-in-chief in U.S. history, just behind former President Joe Biden. If the Republicans complete their four-year term, they will take that record away from Biden.

White House Physician Dr. Sean Barbavera noted after the April examination that Trump was “extremely healthy.” Following the October checkup, it was reported that the president underwent “advanced imaging tests” and “preventive health evaluations,” though specifics about the MRI were not disclosed.

His health status continues to be described as excellent, with Barbavera mentioning that the president’s heart age was found to be about 14 years younger than his chronological age. “He continues to maintain a rigorous daily schedule,” he added.
