Trump Discovers Uncomfortable (Perhaps Ideal?) Method To Support Struggling Republican

Trump’s Unusual Obsession with Male Physiques

President Donald Trump has a range of interests, some more serious than others. Recently, however, a rather peculiar fixation has emerged on the campaign trail: the athletic physiques of other men.

At a rally on October 12, Trump remarked that after hearing about Republican Senator Jon Husted’s college football past from NFL icon Jon Gruden, he took a moment to appraise Husted’s physique and was quite taken with it. “I started examining his body, because I didn’t know he was a great athlete,” Trump said, adding, “I looked at his ass.”

He also recounted this observation at a rally in North Carolina, where he referred to Husted’s backside as a “pile of muscle.”

On October 25, at another event, Trump complimented Husted again before shifting his attention to rapper Nicki Minaj, who was present. He focused on her figure, calling her rear end, “One hell of a beautiful ass.” “That’s hard to miss,” he added, as if it were the most natural thing to say.

But Trump’s gaze isn’t confined to just the rear. During a rally in 2024, he mentioned the legendary golfer Arnold Palmer in a rather unexpected context.

“Arnold Palmer was all man, and I say that in all due respect to women,” Trump stated. He went on to share a story about how pros would react after showers, saying, “Oh my God. That’s unbelievable.” He suggested that even sophisticated women saw Palmer as a man’s man.

It’s unclear what prompted Trump to discuss Palmer’s physical attributes back then. Perhaps it was just typical locker room talk. But one has to wonder—what is the reason behind Trump frequently highlighting Husted’s physique?

At a rally recently, he attempted to explain his fascination. “I was examining that man for his physical prowess,” Trump shared with the audience. “He went from being somewhat down to somewhat up in one day. And I mean a lot of points, I have to tell you. I saved his ass.”

There might be a strategy here. Praising a candidate’s impressive physique could potentially appeal to specific voter groups, like suburban women. Or maybe it reflects Trump’s own nostalgia for his younger days, perhaps trying to recapture his own past through others.
