Trump Does Everyone A Favor And Forces Irrelevant Talk Show Host To Leave Country

Thanks to Trump’s presidency, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi reportedly no longer call the United States their home.

Sources close to the situation said DeGeneres and her wife have settled in their new home in Cotswolds, in the area of South West England, which is located approximately two hours from London, according to TMZ. They seem to have eyeballed their new home prior to the election, but sources said the two were “very disillusioned” after Trump’s victory. The pair immediately vowed “to get the hell out” of the United States.

Several Hollywood stars have threatened to leave the United States if their preferred candidate were to lose, but few have actually made good on it. It seems the former comedian and talk show host is dedicated to making this official.

DeGeneres and de Rossi intend to list their Montecito, California home for sale, and are considering how much money they’re going to ask for at this time, according to TMZ.

DeGeneres has not publicly declared the reason for her departure, but she was notably one of many celebrities that invested in Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign during the 2024 Presidential election. DeGeneres reportedly shelled out $3,300 to Harris and endorsed her on social media, according to TMZ.

“There’s nothing more powerful than a woman whose time has come!! I can’t wait for @KamalaHarris to be our next president,” DeGeneres wrote to social media as the election approached. (RELATED: Eva Longoria Abandons America After Trump Win)

DeGeneres and de Rossi own a number of real estate properties, and it’s unclear if they’ll maintain ownership of the other homes located in the U.S. after the sale of their main property.
