Trump ‘Doing Well’ After Surviving Assassination Attempt

Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas), a former White House physician, released a memo Saturday saying former President Donald Trump is “doing well” after last Saturday’s assassination attempt and that it was “a sheer miracle” that Trump wasn’t killed.

Jackson wrote in the memo: I have written Jackson said he met with Trump “later that night” in New Jersey and “had been with” him, examining and treating him “since that time.” Jackson’s memo came a week after 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire on Trump from the roof of a nearby building, looking directly at him.

The former president was “shot with a penetrating bullet” above his right ear.

“As former personal physician to President Donald J. Trump, I was understandably very concerned about his health following the assassination attempt, as was the entire world,” Jackson wrote. “As such, I met with him later that night in Bedminster, New Jersey to personally check on him and offer any assistance I could.”

Jackson confirmed that Trump “suffered a gunshot wound” to his right ear after Crooks fired from a “high-powered rifle.”

“I have been with President Trump since that time and have examined and treated his wounds daily,” Jackson wrote. “He is in good health. As reported and witnessed by the entire world, he was shot in the right ear with the high-powered rifle used by the assassin.”

The former White House physician added that the “bullet passed through” and was “less than a quarter of an inch away from entering” Trump’s head.

The bullet passed less than 1/4 inch into the head and struck the top of the right ear. The trajectory of the bullet created a 2 cm wide wound that extended down to the cartilage surface of the ear. There was initially significant bleeding, followed by significant swelling over the entire top of the ear. The swelling has since subsided and the wound has begun to granulate and is healing properly. As the ear is highly vascularized, there will be intermittent bleeding and will require bandaging. As the wound itself was wide and blunt, no sutures were required.

“In summary, former President Trump is doing well and recovering as expected from the gunshot wounds he sustained last Saturday afternoon,” Jackson continued. “We are extremely grateful that he has survived. It is truly a miracle that he did not die.”

Trump detailed last Saturday’s events in his speech at the Republican National Convention on Thursday. He noted that he was talking about what his administration has done about illegal immigration; chart He gave information about illegal immigration to America and escaped a fatal head wound.
