Trump Edges Out Biden in 2024 General Election Matchup

Former President Donald Trump beats President Joe Biden in a head-to-head matchup, according to a new Emerson College poll.

Trump wins one point in direct confrontation advantage He led Biden by 46 points to Biden’s 45 points.

The addition of third-party candidates (independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., independent candidate Cornel West, and Green Party candidate Jill Stein) increases Mr. Trump’s lead by two points. The poll also looked at the Republican primary race between Trump and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and found Trump with a 54-point lead. Trump has 73% support among Republican voters, while Haley has 19% support.

As Emerson noted, “Since last month’s survey, which added four Republican candidates who have suspended their campaigns, Trump’s approval rating has increased by 13 points, from 64% to 77%, and Haley’s approval rating has increased from 14% to 77%.” 24%, an increase of 10 points.
