Former President Donald Trump has endorsed Virginia Sen. John Maguire, a candidate challenging the House Freedom Caucus. Chair Rep. Bob Good, running in the Republican primary for Virginia’s 5th Congressional District.
“Bob Good is bad for Virginia and bad for America. He turned his back on our great movement and attacked and fought me until recently, when he offered a warm and ‘loving’ endorsement. But the reality is, it was too late. The damage had already been done! I just want to Make America Great Again and no one can help me do that more than Navy SEAL and highly respected State Representative John Maguire, a true American hero,” Trump proclaimed on social media. post“John Maguire has my full support!”

Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, who recently led an ultimately unsuccessful attempt to oust House Speaker Mike Johnson from his position, praised President Trump’s move to endorse Maguire over incumbent Rep. Good.

“It’s interesting that Trump, under the guise of election unity, told us he needed to endorse Johnson even though he shares floor duties with Hakeem Jeffries. For unity’s sake, we were told, Trump had to endorse all of the liberal incumbents, including swamp creatures like Mike Simpson and James Baird, but somehow that doesn’t extend to the top conservative incumbents. Suddenly, unity doesn’t matter. Can you drain the swamp if you keep plugging the drain?” Daniel Horowitz of Blaze Media said in a statement to Blaze News.
