The Trump campaign is expanding its ground-up efforts in Minnesota and Virginia as it seeks to corner President Biden’s campaign in traditionally Democratic states, according to a new internal campaign memo.
The memo, obtained exclusively by CBS News on Friday, details that the campaign is in the process of signing leases for eight “Trump Force 47” offices in Minnesota and 11 campaign offices in Virginia.

In addition to the campaign office, the campaign is hiring new staff members and building out its team to oversee field operations in Virginia and Minnesota.
According to a memo written by James Blair, the Trump campaign’s political manager, the campaign believes that by putting Minnesota and Virginia on the map, it can “add at least 12 pathways to the 270 pathways.”
Recent polls have provided great news for Trump in Virginia and Minnesota.
