Trump finishes his semi-annual medical exam at Walter Reed: 'Everything checked out perfectly'

Trump’s Health Checkup Update

President Donald Trump has just wrapped up a thorough three-hour dental and physical examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He took to Truth Social afterward to disclose his results.

In his post, Trump expressed that “everything checked out PERFECTLY” and thanked the hospital’s “great doctors” and staff for their care.

This checkup comes ahead of Trump’s upcoming 80th birthday on June 14th.

Earlier Appointment Details

According to the White House, Trump’s annual checkup is his first in-person visit since April 2025.

Having just turned 80 next month, Trump holds the title of the oldest individual to assume the presidency in the U.S., edging out former President Joe Biden by a mere five months.

In the previous year, Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a common issue in older adults that affects blood circulation from the legs to the heart. About 20% of adults in the U.S. are impacted by this condition. He has worn compression socks as part of his management plan, but noted he wasn’t fond of them and eventually stopped wearing them.

Regarding some bruising on his hands, Trump attributed it to the aspirin he takes for thinning his blood. He acknowledged using makeup to conceal the bruises, although there has been ongoing speculation about potential other underlying conditions.

Walter Reed is located about 10 miles north of the White House, in Bethesda, Maryland.

During his visit, the White House mentioned that the president was also meeting with service members.
