Trump gives first interview since returning to the White House in sit-down with Sean Hannity

President Trump on Wednesday touted the Republican caucus in Congress as “very united” and insisted that “all of the country's problems are solvable.”

In an interview with Fox News, President Trump asserted, “If you have the time, the effort, the money, unfortunately, all of these problems are solvable.''

“We can take our country back,” he insisted. “But I truly believe that if we didn't win this race, our country would be lost forever.”

Trump's conversation with Sean Hannity, recorded at the White House on Wednesday morning, was the 47th president's first television interview.

He also praised House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) for how he “unified” Republicans on Capitol Hill.
“You know, they're not easy people,” he said of Republicans.

“This is a tough group…but they're very united.”

Unlike his predecessor, Trump did not shy away from interacting with the press throughout his first three action-packed days at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

President Trump, 78, answered a barrage of questions from reporters in the Oval Office on Monday night and signed dozens of first-day executive orders, including withdrawing the United States from the World Health Organization. Declares Mexican drug cartels a foreign terrorist organization. It also directed the Justice Department not to enforce TikTok's “sell-or-ban” law for 75 days.

The president also took questions after announcing a $500 billion artificial intelligence infrastructure project at the White House on Tuesday with representatives from OpenAI, SoftBank and Oracle.

Former President Joe Biden held the fewest official conferences or press conferences of any modern president.

Biden, 82, gave his first television interview as president until February 2021, which aired on CBS ahead of the Super Bowl.

His first full-fledged press conference did not occur until late March of that year.
