Trump Criticizes Marjorie Taylor Greene Following Her Comments

President Donald Trump has issued a stern critique of Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene after her remarks targeting the White House.

During a CNN interview, reporter Caitlan Collins questioned Trump about Greene’s social media post, where she expressed disappointment over her meeting with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, a former al-Qaeda leader. Collins also highlighted Greene’s criticisms regarding the administration’s handling of cost of living and domestic policies.

In response, Trump stated, “I don’t know what happened to Marjorie. She’s a lovely woman, but I think she lost her way. The presidency involves looking at global issues, not just local ones. If the president is ineffective, it can lead to a world in chaos and potential wars.”

He described Biden as a “terrible president” and referenced conflicts that arose during his time in office, mentioning economic impacts from the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. “When you’re president, you have to be aware of global situations. Otherwise, you risk getting caught unprepared,” he explained.

Trump later reiterated his support for a significant tax cut bill, labeling it “the biggest tax cut in the history of our country.” He expressed surprise at Greene’s shift, saying, “When someone like Marjorie responds to the other side’s demands, it suggests a lack of understanding on her part.”

In a separate social media post, Greene criticized Al-Sharaa’s visit to the White House, which coincided with the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Marine Corps. She expressed a desire for more focus on domestic policy over foreign dealings, commenting on ongoing issues in Syria and the persecution of Christians.

Greene also addressed the rising cost of living in another interview, acknowledging the efforts of Trump’s administration in keeping it around 2.5%. However, she expressed concern about the overall affordability of health insurance and related matters.
